(Whig) for Eye between 1695 and 1698.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk between 1698 and 1703.1 He held the office of Joint Postmaster-General between 1715 and 1721.1 He held the office of Paymaster-General from 1721 to January 1721/22.1 He had three other sons (one died unmarried) and three daughters, who all died unmarried.1
