He graduated from College of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G, in 1763 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from College of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G, in 1770 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was ordained on 19 August 1770 by the Bishop of London.1 He was a missionary to the Mohawks between 1770 and 1781 at Fort Hunter, Montgomery County, New York, U.S.A.G.1 He was a missionary to the Mohawks between 1785 and 1811 at Kingston, Ontario, CanadaG.1 He was Bishop's Official for Upper Canada between 1789 and 1811.1 He was chaplain to the Legislative Council of Upper Canada between 1792 and 1807.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) in 1799.1

Venerable George Okill Stuart was born on 29 June 1776 at Fort Hunter, Montgomery County, New York, U.S.A.G.1 He was the son of Dr. John Stuart and Jane Okill.1 He married, firstly, Lucy Brooks, daughter of Hon. John Brooks, on 2 October 1803.1 He married, secondly, Ann Ellice Robinson on 25 August 1816.1 He died on 5 October 1862 at age 86 at Kingston, Ontario, CanadaG.1
