     Agnes Marion Macalpine-Leny was born on 6 July 1872 at Dalswinton House, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1 She was the daughter of William Macalpine-Leny and Agnes Louisa Georgina Long.1 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Walter Johnstone Halsey, 2nd Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. and Mary Julia Wells, on 28 July 1896 at Norton Sub Hamden, Somerset, EnglandG.1 She died on 14 September 1954 at age 82 at Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, EnglandG, from a heart attack.1
     From 28 July 1896, her married name became Halsey.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Walter Johnstone Halsey, 2nd Bt. was born on 1 June 1868 at St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. and Mary Julia Wells.2 He was baptised on 17 July 1868 at Great Gaddesdon, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He married Agnes Marion Macalpine-Leny, daughter of William Macalpine-Leny and Agnes Louisa Georgina Long, on 28 July 1896 at Norton Sub Hamden, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He died on 2 September 1950 at age 82 at Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Sir Thomas Edgar Halsey, 3rd Bt. was born on 28 November 1898.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Walter Johnstone Halsey, 2nd Bt. and Agnes Marion Macalpine-Leny.2 He married Jean Margaret Palmer Brooke, daughter of Bertram Willes Dayrell Brooke and Gladys Milton Palmer, on 20 December 1926.1 He died on 30 August 1970 at age 71.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Marines.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hertfordshire in 1948.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire in 1950.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Halsey, of Gaddesdon, co.      Evelyn Cecilia Simone Halsey is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Walter Johnstone Halsey, 2nd Bt. and Agnes Marion Macalpine-Leny.1 She married Brigadier Frederick Manus de Butts, son of Brigadier Frederick Cromie de Butts, on 8 July 1944.2
     From 8 July 1944, her married name became de Butts. She lived in 2003 at Church Cottage, Hoggeston, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.2

     Her married name became Shuldham.
