Sir Gerald Wills was born on 3 October 1905.2 He is the son of Ronald Dewhurst Wills.2 He married Amy Mary Louise Peters, daughter of Ivo Peters, on 19 July 1927.2 He died on 31 October 1969 at age 64.2
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1932 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire in 1946.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
