     Dorothy Una Clough was born in 1891.3,2 She was the daughter of George Benson Clough.1 She married, firstly, Charles Frederick Ratcliffe-Brotherton, son of Frederick Edwin Ratcliffe and Florence Anne Brotherton, on 21 September 1909 at St. Stephen's Church, South Kensington, London, EnglandG.1 She and Charles Frederick Ratcliffe-Brotherton were divorced in October 1931.1 She married, secondly, Captain Noel McGrigor Phillips in 1932.3 She married, thirdly, Alfred Phillips in 1947.3 She died on 20 November 1967 at Angus House, West Bay, Berwickshire, ScotlandG.3 She was buried on 7 December 1967 at Temple Sowerby Church, Penrith, Westmorland, EnglandG.4
     She was educated at Weimar, GermanyG.3 She was educated at Paris, FranceG.3 She was a poet, travel writer and singer.5 From 21 September 1909, her married name became Ratcliffe.1 From 1932, her married name became Phillips.3
