     Hulance Haddington Broun was born on 10 March 1919 at Coonamble, New South Wales, Australia.^1,2 He was the son of William Arthur Broun and Marie Victoria McIntyre.¹ He married Joy Maud Stack, daughter of A. L. Stack, on 21 March 1947.¹ He died on 21 February 2001 at age 81.¹
     He gained the rank of Sergeat-Pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Middle East.¹

     Joy Maud Stack was the daughter of A. L. Stack.¹ She married Hulance Haddington Broun, son of William Arthur Broun and Marie Victoria McIntyre, on 21 March 1947.¹ She died in 1996.¹
