     Lady Charlotte Scott-Bentinck was the daughter of William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland and Henrietta Scott.1 She married John Evelyn Denison, 1st Viscount Ossington, son of John Denison and Charlotte Estwick, on 14 July 1827.1 She died on 30 September 1889.1
     Her married name became Denison. On 26 June 1882 her name was legally changed to Charlotte Scott by Royal Licence.1

John Evelyn Denison, 1st Viscount Ossington1

     John Evelyn Denison, 1st Viscount Ossington was born on 27 January 1800. He was the son of John Denison and Charlotte Estwick.2,3 He married Lady Charlotte Scott-Bentinck, daughter of William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland and Henrietta Scott, on 14 July 1827.4 He died on 7 March 1873 at age 73.
     He gained the title of 1st Viscount Ossington. He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons in 1857.2

     Lady Lucy Joan Scott-Bentinck was the daughter of William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland and Henrietta Scott.1 She married Charles Augustus Ellis, 6th Lord Howard de Walden, son of Charles Rose Ellis, 1st Baron Seaford of Seaford and Elizabeth Catherine Caroline Hervey, on 8 November 1828.2 She died on 29 July 1899.1
     From 8 November 1828, her married name became Ellis. After her marriage, Lady Lucy Joan Scott-Bentinck was styled as Baroness Seaford of Seaford on 1 July 1845. On 26 November 1889 her name was legally changed to Lucy Joan Scott-Ellis by Royal Licence.2

     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1
