William Edward Delves Broughton and Laura Margaret Lawson.¹ He married Dorothy Grace Studd, daughter of Edward Fairfax Studd and Evelyn Chichester, on 23 October 1912.¹ He died on 20 April 1947 at age 67.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches, and was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹
