     Admiral Sir William Milbourne James was born on 22 December 1881.2 He was the son of Major William Christopher James and Effie Gray Millais.3 He married Dorothy Alexandra Duff, daughter of Sir Alexander Ludovic Duff and Janet Douglas Duff, on 18 January 1915.4 He died on 17 August 1973 at age 91 at Surrey, England.4,2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1

     Captain Christopher Alexander James was born on 24 November 1916.2 He was the son of Admiral Sir William Milbourne James and Dorothy Alexandra Duff.2 He married Cynthia Swire, daughter of Captain Douglas William Swire and Theodosia Frances Boyle, on 6 April 1938.2 He died on 1 January 1969 at age 52.1
     He lived at Warroch House, Milnathort, Kinross-shire, Scotland.3 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Signal Officer in 1941 in the 4th MTB Flotilla.1 He was wit the Staff of Commander-in-Chief BPF and Signal Officer to 2nd in charge BPF between 1944 and 1945.1 He was Director of Staff between 1951 and 1952 at Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich, London, EnglandG.1 He was Captain of the H.M.S.
