Sir John Leigh Charlton Briscoe, 4th Bt. was born on 3 December 1911.1 He was the son of Sir John Charlton Briscoe, 3rd Bt. and Grace Maud Stagg.1 He married Teresa Mary Violet Home, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Archibald Fraser Home and Violet Mary Bertha D'Arcy, on 8 April 1948.1 He died on 7 February 1993 at age 81.1,2
