     Brownlow Cecil, 9th Earl of Exeter was born on 21 September 1725.¹ He was the son of Brownlow Cecil, 8th Earl of Exeter and Hannah Sophia Chambers.¹ He married, firstly, Letitia Townshend, daughter of Hon. Horatio Townshend and Alice Starkie, on 24 July 1749.³ He married, secondly, Anne Maria Cheatham, daughter of Job Cheatham, on 23 April 1770.³ He died on 26 December 1793 at age 68, without issue.¹

     George Augustus Frederick Percy Sydney Smythe, 7th Viscount Strangford was born on 13 April 1818 at Stockholm, Sweden^G.¹ He was the son of Percy Clinton Sydney Smythe, 6th Viscount Strangford and Ellen Burke.¹ He married Margaret Cunningham Kincaid Lennox, daughter of John Lennox Kincaid Lennox of Woodhead and Kincaid, on 9 November 1857 at Bradgate Park, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.³ He died on 23 November 1857 at age 39.¹
     He gained the title of 7th Viscount Strangford. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.³ He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Canterbury between 1841 and 1852.³ He held the office of Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs in 1845.³ He gained the title of 2nd Baron Penhurst, of Penshurst in Kent [U.K., 1825] in 1855.
