     Mary Law was born on 27 April 1744 at Greystoke, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Edmund Law and Mary Christian.1 She married Reverend James Stephen Lushington, son of Thomas Godfrey Lushington and Dorothy Gisborne, on 5 April 1764.1 She died on 24 July 1768 at age 24.1
     From 5 April 1764, her married name became Lushington.1

Rev. Edmund Law and Mary Christian, on 5 April 1764.1 He married, secondly, Mary Christian, daughter of Reverend Humphrey Christian and Elizabeth Brett, in 1775.1,3 He died on 17 June 1801 at age 66 at Rodmersham, Kent, EnglandG.1
     He was Vicar at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.4 He held the office of Prebendary of Carlisle Cathedral.5

     Edmund Henry Lushington was born on 11 July 1766.1 He was the son of Reverend James Stephen Lushington and Mary Law.1 He married, firstly, Louisa Faulkner Phillips, daughter of Thomas Phillips and Sarah (?), on 2 January 1801.1 He married, secondly, Sophia Phillips, daughter of Thomas Phillips and Sarah (?), on 10 August 1810 at Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.2,3 He died on 27 March 1839 at age 72 at Park House, Kent, EnglandG.1
     He was a practising Barrister-at-Law.1 He held the office of Puisne Judge [Ceylon].1
