     Joseph Allen McCleave Buffett was born on 5 August 1851 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of John Buffett and Elizabeth Young.1 He married Kathleen Laura Nobbs, daughter of Fletcher Christian Nobbs and Susan Quintal, on 27 November 1873 at Norfolk IslandG.1 He died on 19 January 1921 at age 69 at Norfolk IslandG.1
     Joseph Allen McCleave Buffett usually went by his middle name of Allen.2 He was a whalerman.1 He was president of the Norfolk Executive Council between 1909 and 1915.1

     John Buffett was born on 21 July 1826 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of John Buffett and Dorothy Young.1 He married Elizabeth Young, daughter of George Young and Hannah Adams, on 12 October 1845 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He died on 23 June 1906 at age 79 at Norfolk IslandG.1
     He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Norfolk Island between 1867 and 1870.1 He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Norfolk Island from 1881 to 1882.1
