Major John Rickards Galwey was born on 7 July 1910.1 He was the son of Major William Rickards Galwey and Emily Frances Valentine.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Louise Maitland, daughter of Reginald Ferdinando Maitland, on 26 June 1932.1 He and Margaret Louise Maitland were divorced before 1949.1 He married, secondly, Audrey Lane, daughter of William Lane, on 2 January 1951.1 He died in November 1997 at age 87 at Cheshire, England.2
