     Matilda Cooke was born at Fountain Hill House, Waterside, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Cooke and Mary Nevin.¹ She married Reverend John Stuart on 22 August 1888.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 2 August 1888.² She died on 20 February 1946.¹
     From 2 August 1888, her married name became Stuart.²

     Reverend John Stuart was born on 17 April 1848.¹ He married Matilda Cooke, daughter of Robert Cooke and Mary Nevin, on 22 August 1888.¹ He was also reported to have been married on 2 August 1888.² He died on 27 December 1927 at age 79.¹
