     He was educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Norfolk Regiment.¹ He fought in the Korean War, where he was mentioned in despatches posthumously.¹

Harold Jesson, on 20 January 1954.² She married, thirdly, Michael Denison Ritchie in 1985.²
     From 27 July 1951, her married name became Berney.¹ From 20 January 1954, her married name became Jesson.² From 1985, her married name became Ritchie.² She lived in 2003 at Tannachie, Findhorn, Forres, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹
