     Captain Edward Cawdron Cordeaux was born on 24 July 1894 at Caistor, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Colonel E. K. Cordeaux.2 He married Marjorie Holmes Bennett in 1921. He died on 8 June 1963 at age 68.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1907, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, serving in the Dardenelles, Gallipoli and Jutland.2 He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 November 1914.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May 1916.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant Commander on 15 December 1923.2 He retired from the military on 24 July 1934, with the rank of Commander, late of the Royal Navy.2 He graduated in 1935 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)2 He graduated from London University, London, EnglandG, in 1935 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.S.)2 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1935.2 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1935.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 16 June 1940 in the Royal Navy.1,2 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) on 16 August 1940 at Dunkirk.1,2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) on 1 July 1941.1,2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire.1 He lived at Louth, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1963.2
