     Mary Vans Agnew was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Patrick Vans Agnew of Barnbarroch and Sheuchan and Catherine Fraser.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Edmund Richard Jeffreys in 1844.1 She died on 8 December 1909.1
     From 1844, her married name became Jeffreys.1
