Sir John Barker, 4th Bt. was born circa 1656 at Grimston Hall, Trimley, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir John Barker, 2nd Bt. and Winifred Parker.1 He married Bridget Bacon, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Bridgett Tollemache, on 2 June 1678 at Barham, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 He died in July 1696 at Ipswich, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Barker, of Grimston Hall, in Trimley, co. Suffolk [E., 1622] in 1665.1 He matriculated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 10 February 1672/73.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich from 1680 to 1681.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1685 and 1687.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1689 and 1696.1
