     Major Robert Brydges Barclay was born on 22 May 1782.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Tickell.1 He married Jane Williams, daughter of Arthur Williams, on 5 May 1809.2 He died on 8 August 1825 at age 43.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 71st Foot.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars, where he was wounded.2

     Jane Williams was the daughter of Arthur Williams.1 She married Major Robert Brydges Barclay, son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Tickell, on 5 May 1809.2 She died on 16 March 1868.2
     From 5 May 1809, her married name became Barclay.1

     Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 9th Bt. was born on 24 July 1819 at Dungannon, County Tyrone, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Major Robert Brydges Barclay and Jane Williams.1 He was baptised on 18 August 1819 at Drumglass, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He died on 19 May 1859 at age 39 at Dungannon, County Tyrone, IrelandG, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] on 14 August 1839.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1846 in the 25th Foot.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1855 in the Lancashire Artillery Militia.1

     Sir David William Barclay of Pierston, 10th Bt. was born on 5 September 1804.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 8th Bt. and Harriette Alicia Durell.1 He married, firstly, Elise Josephe de Rune, daughter of Charles Malo de Rune, Marquis de Rune, on 16 February 1829.2 He married, secondly, Emily Stacey, daughter of James Edmund Stacey, on 19 September 1872.2 He died on 23 November 1888 at age 84 at 42 Holland Road, Kensington, London, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Paddington Cemetery, Willesden Lane, Paddington, London, EnglandG.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 99th Foot.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Mauritius.2 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Mauritius] between 1846 and 1864.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] on 19 May 1859.2 He lived at Pierston, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.3

     Elise Josephe de Rune was born circa 1810.1 She was the daughter of Charles Malo de Rune, Marquis de Rune.1 She married Sir David William Barclay of Pierston, 10th Bt., son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 8th Bt. and Harriette Alicia Durell, on 16 February 1829.1 She died on 22 March 1867 at 137 Westbourne Terrace, Paddington, London, EnglandG, very suddenly.1
     From 16 February 1829, her married name became Barclay.1
