     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 18 June 1639.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Bacon, of Gillingham [St. Mary], co. Norfolk [England] on 7 February 1661/62.¹

     Elizabeth Freston was born circa 1627.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Freston.¹ She and Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. obtained a marriage license on 31 May 1647.¹ She married, secondly, Sir William Godbold on 14 April 1670.¹
     From 31 May 1647, her married name became Bacon.¹ From 14 April 1670, her married name became Godbold.¹

     Richard Freston lived at Mendham, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Sir William Godbold was born circa 1625.¹ He married Elizabeth Freston, daughter of Richard Freston, on 14 April 1670.¹ He died circa 1687.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in November 1687.¹

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bacon, of Gillingham [St. Mary], co. Norfolk [E., 1662] on 3 August 1666.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 6 November 1669.¹

     Sir Richard Bacon, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1663.² He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Freston.² He married Anne Bacon, daughter of Sir Henry Bacon, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Gooch.¹ He died circa October 1685, without issue.² He was buried on 8 October 1685 at Gillingham, Norfolk, England^G.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bacon, of Gillingham [St. Mary], co. Norfolk [E., 1662] in November 1683.²
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Sir Nathaniel Bacon was born in 1585.² He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.¹ He married Jane Meautys, daughter of Hercules Meautys.¹ He died in 1627, without male issue.^1,2
     He lived at Culford Hall, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He was a painter.¹ He was the Rector at Great Ryburgh, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor.¹

     Jane Meautys was the daughter of Hercules Meautys.¹ She married, firstly, Sir William Cornwallis, son of Sir Thomas Cornwallis and Anne Jerningham.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Nathaniel Bacon, son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.¹ She died circa 21 May 1659.² She was also reported to have died on 1 July 1627.¹ She was buried on 24 May 1659.²
     She was also known as Jane Mewtas.³ Her married name became Bacon.¹ Her married name became Cornwallis.¹

     Hercules Meautys was born in 1548.² He was the son of Peter Meautys and Jane Astley.² He died in 1587.²
