     John Patrick Standidge Austin was born on 27 September 1922.1 He was the son of Joseph Edward Austin and Katherine Matilda Ryan.1 He died on 4 April 1945 at age 22, executed.1
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Serjeant in the Royal Berkshire Regiment, and served with the Special Operations Executive in Jedbergh Team Dudley.2 Circa 4 December 1944 he was arrested.2
