     Sir Robert Austen, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 March 1663 at Bexley, Kent, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir John Austen, 2nd Bt. and Rose Hale.¹ He married Elizabeth Stawel, daughter of Sir John Stawel and Ursula Austen, circa 1696.¹ He died circa June 1706.¹ He was buried on 5 July 1706 at Bexley, Kent, England^G.¹ His will (dated 28 May 1706) was proven (by probate) on 15 August 1706.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Austen, of [Hall Place in] Bexley, co. Kent [E., 1660] in 1698.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rye from January 1699 to 1701.¹

     Elizabeth Stawel was born circa 1681.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Stawel and Ursula Austen.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Robert Austen, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Austen, 2nd Bt. and Rose Hale, circa 1696.¹ She and William Wynd obtained a marriage license on 26 April 1716.¹ She died circa 1725.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 2 December 1725.¹
     From circa 1696, her married name became Austen.¹ Her last will was dated 7 April 1716. From 26 April 1716, her married name became Wynd.¹

     Sir John Stawel married Ursula Austen, daughter of Sir Robert Austen, 1st Bt. and Anne Muns.³
     He lived at Cothelstone, Somerset, England^G.⁴ He was also known as George Stawell.⁵

     Ursula Austen is the daughter of Sir Robert Austen, 1st Bt. and Anne Muns.¹ She married, firstly, Sir John Stawel.² She married, secondly, Henry Seymour, son of Sir Edward Seymour, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy Killigrew.²
     Her married name became Stawel. Her married name became Seymour.²

     William Wynd was born circa 1681.¹ He and Elizabeth Stawel obtained a marriage license on 26 April 1716.¹ He died in 1742.¹
     He held the office of Chamberlain to Princess Sophia.¹ He lived at Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Sir Robert Austen, 4th Bt. was born on 6 October 1697 at Hall Place, Bexley, Kent, England^G.² He was the son of Sir Robert Austen, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Stawel.¹ He married Rachael Dashwood, daughter of Sir Francis Dashwood, 1st Bt. and Lady Mary Fane, on 4 November 1738 at Mereworth, Kent, England^G.² He was also reported to have been married on 13 July 1738.³ He died on 7 October 1743 at age 46, without issue.¹ He was buried at Churchdown, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Austen, of [Hall Place in] Bexley, co. Kent [E., 1660] in July 1706.¹ He matriculated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 10 November 1715.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Kent from January 1724 to December 1724.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Romney from April 1728 to 1734.¹

     Rachael Dashwood was born circa 1706 at West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Francis Dashwood, 1st Bt. and Lady Mary Fane.¹ She married Sir Robert Austen, 4th Bt., son of Sir Robert Austen, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Stawel, on 4 November 1738 at Mereworth, Kent, England^G.² She was also reported to have been married on 13 July 1738.³ She died on 16 May 1788, without issue.¹
     From November 1738, her married name became Austen.¹ She was styled as Baroness le Despenser on 11 December 1781, as she erroneously believed that the termination of the abeyance of this title in favour of her brother was tantamount to being in favour of her mother.¹

     Sir Francis Dashwood, 11th Lord le Despenser was born in December 1708 at Great Marlborough, Westminster, London, England^G.^2,3 He was the son of Sir Francis Dashwood, 1st Bt. and Lady Mary Fane.¹ He married Sarah Gould, daughter of George Gould, on 19 December 1745.³ He died on 11 December 1781, without legitimate issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Dashwood, of West Wycombe, co. Bucks [G.B., 1707] on 4 November 1724.³ He held the office of Treasurer of the Chambers.³ He held the office of Master of the Wardrobe.³ He held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer between 1762 and 1763.³ He succeeded as the 11th Lord le Despenser [E., 1314] in 1763.⁴ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Buckinghamshire (King's Own) Militia.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)³ He held the office of Joint Postmaster-General

between 1766 and 1781.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire.³ On his death, his barony fell into abeyance until the death of his sister, Rachael.⁴
