     Henry Portal was born in 1690 at Poitiers, FranceG.2 He was the son of Jean Francois Portal and Françoise Grimaudet Grimaudet.3 He married Dorothy Hasker on 26 December 1715.2 He was also reported to have been married on 26 December 1711.4 He died on 30 September 1747.2 He was also reported to have died on 30 September 1745.4
     In 1711 he was naturalised at Winchester.2 In 1724 he entered the paper-making trade and acquired the contract for manufacturing notes for the Bank of England.2 He lived at Freefolk Priory, Hampshire, EnglandG.3

     Sir Charles Anderton, 2nd Bt. was born in 1657.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Anderton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Somerset.1 He married Margaret Ireland, daughter of Laurence Ireland and Anne Scarisbrick, before 1676.1 He died on 30 December 1691.1 His will (dated 29 December 1691) was proven (by probate) on 8 March 1693.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Anderton, of Lostock, co. Lancaster [E., 1677] on 9 February 1678.1

     Margaret Ireland was born circa 1659.1 She was the daughter of Laurence Ireland and Anne Scarisbrick.1 She married Sir Charles Anderton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Anderton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Somerset, before 1676.1 She died on 26 August 1720 at London, EnglandG.1 She was buried at St. Pancras, London, EnglandG.1
     From before 1676, her married name became Anderton.1 Her last will was dated 12 August 1720.1
