     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Alexander, of Sundridge Park, Kent [U.K., 1945] on 2 December 2019.²

     James Gundry Alexander was born in 1977.¹ He is the son of Sir Richard Alexander, 3rd Bt. and Lesley Jane Jordan.¹

     He was educated at Highgate School, Highgate, London, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 72nd Heavy Artillery Brigade.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He held the office of Alderman of the City of London in 1938.¹ He was chairman of the Baltic Exchange between 1939 and 1946.¹ He was chairman of Alexander Shipping.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of the City of London between 1940 and 1941.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1942.¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1944 and 1945.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Alexander, of Sundridge Park, Kent [U.K.] on 19 November 1945.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the City of London.¹

     Edward Alexander was born on 26 January 1839.¹ He was the son of Samuel Alexander and Sarah Gundry.¹ He married Cora Zwicker, daughter of William Zwicker, on 25 January 1877.¹ He died on 30 March 1925 at age 86.¹
