Sir John Clerke was the son of William Clerke and Agnes (?)1,2 He married unknown Ashby.3 He died in 1539.3
He lived at Weston, EnglandG.3 On 14 August 1513 he captured Louis d'Orleans, Duke of Longueville, at Borny, near Thérouanne, while campaigning in France. King Henry VIII granted him an honourable augmentation to his coat of arms.3
