Captain Charles Harold Longfield Beatty was born on 16 January 1870.1 He was the son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir.1 He was baptised on 19 March 1870 at Wybunbury, Cheshire, England.2 He married Lucy Alice Beck on 31 January 1905.1 He died on 17 May 1917 at age 47.1
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.1

Captain Richard George Beatty was born on 2 November 1881.1 He was the son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir.1 He was baptised on 8 February 1882 at Malpas, Cheshire, England.2 He married Florence Mary Bywater, daughter of John Bywater, on 21 October 1907.1 He died on 9 June 1915 at age 33.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, with the 4th Battalion and 1st Mounted Infantry Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.1 He was Extra Aide-de-Camp to General Aldersen in 1901.1 He was Superintendant of the Remount Department, Lahore and Baluchistan between 1911 and 1914.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 36th (Jacob's) Horse.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915, on the North-West Frontier and Shabkardar.1
