     William Deane married, firstly, Ann Wentworth, daughter of Sir John Wentworth, between 1573 and 1580.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Egerton, daughter of Thomas Egerton, after 1581.¹ He died on 4 October 1585.¹
     In 1571 he bought Dynes Hall in Great Maplestead, Essex.¹

     John Lumley, 1st and last Baron Lumley was born circa 1533.³ He was the son of George Lumley and Jane Knightley.³ He married, firstly, Lady Joan Fitzalan, daughter of Henry Fitzalan, 12th/19th Earl of Arundel and Lady Catherine Grey.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Darcy, daughter of John Darcy, 2nd Baron Darcy of Chiche and Frances Rich, in 1582.³ He died on 11 April 1609, without surviving issue.³
     In 1547 he was restored in blood but not in honours.³ He was created 1st Baron Lumley [England] in 1547.¹ He was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.³ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1553.³ He held the office of High Steward of Oxford University between 1559 and 1609.³ Between 1569 and 1573 he was imprisoned in the Tower of London on suspicion of complicity in his brother-in-law, 4th Duke of Norfolk's matrimonial designs on Mary, Queen of Scots, although he was never convicted.³ He was a commissioner of the state trial of Mary, Queen of Scots in 1586.³ In 1593 he was granted a charter of Hartlepool.³

     Helen Preston was the daughter of Thomas Preston.¹ She married, firstly, Sir James Leyburne.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Lord Monteagle, son of Edward Stanley, 1st Lord Monteagle and Elizabeth Vaughan, between 2 June 1527 and 1529.¹ She died before 14 November 1571.¹
     Her married name became Leybourne.¹ Her married name became Leyburne. From between 2 June 1527 and 1529, her married name became Stanley.¹
