Albrecht I Herzog von Sachsen was born circa 1175.2 He was the son of Bernard III Kurfürst von Sachsen and Brigitte (?)2 He married Agnes von Österreich, daughter of Leopold VI Herzog von Österreich and Theodora Angelina, in 1222.1 He married Agnes von Thüringen, daughter of Hermann I Landgraf von Thüringen and Sophie von Bayern, after 1228.1 He married, secondly, Helene von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, daughter of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg, between 1247 and 1248. He died on 8 November 1261.
