     Lady Anne Holand was born before 1432. She was the daughter of John de Holand, 1st Duke of Exeter and Lady Anne Stafford.1,2,3 She married, firstly, Sir John Neville, son of Ralph Neville, 2nd Earl of Westmorland and Elizabeth Percy, before 18 February 1440/41, This marriage was apparently not consummated.2 She married, secondly, Sir John Neville, 1st Lord Neville, son of John de Neville, Lord Neville and Lady Elizabeth de Holand, between March 1451 and 27 July 1454.4,5 She married, thirdly, James Douglas, 9th Earl of Douglas, son of James Douglas, 7th Earl of Douglas and Beatrice Sinclair, after 1461 at England.1 She died on 26 December 1486.1
     From 18 February 1440/41, her married name became Neville.4 After her marriage, Lady Anne Holand was styled as Baroness Neville on 20 November 1459. After her marriage, Lady Anne Holand was styled as Countess of Douglas after 1461. From after 1461, her married name became Douglas.1

     Penelope Frances Boothby was born on 13 August 1909.1 She was the daughter of Captain Evelyn Leonard Beridge Boothby and Esmé Frances Nevill Augusta Beauchamp.1 She married Hugh Robert Macdonald Farmer, son of Charles Edward Farmer and Emily Anne Randolph, on 28 July 1934.1 She died on 5 April 1963 at age 53.1
     From 28 July 1934, her married name became Farmer.1

     John de Montagu, 3rd Earl of Salisbury was born circa 1350. He was the son of John Montagu and Margaret Monthermer.2 He married Maud Francis, daughter of Adam Francis.2 He died on 5 January 1400 at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, EnglandG, beheaded.
     He was also known as John de Montacute.2 He gained the title of 3rd Earl of Salisbury.1

William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus1

     William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus was born circa 1552.1 He was the son of William Douglas, 9th Earl of Angus and Egidia Graham.1 He married Elizabeth Oliphant, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 4th Lord Oliphant and Lady Margaret Hay, between 12 April 1585 and 24 June 1585.1 He died on 3 March 1611 at Paris, FranceG.1 He was buried at St. Germain des Prés, Paris, FranceG.2
     He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Angus [S., 1389] on 1 July 1591.1 In 1592 he joined in a plot known as the 'Spanish Blanks', to establish the Roman Catholic religion in Scotland, and thereby incurred forfeiture.1 In 1608 he retired to the Continent.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.3

     Laurence Oliphant, 4th Lord Oliphant was born circa 1527.2 He was the son of Laurence Oliphant, 3rd Lord Oliphant and Margaret Sandilands.3 He married Lady Margaret Hay, daughter of George Hay, 7th Earl of Erroll and Margaret Robertson, after 11 May 1551.4 He died on 16 January 1592/93 at Caithness, ScotlandG.5
     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Oliphant [S., 1464] in 1566.5

Claud Hamilton, 1st Lord Paisley1

Claud Hamilton, 1st Lord Paisley 2
     Claud Hamilton, 1st Lord Paisley was born circa June 1546.3 He was the son of James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Arran and Lady Margaret Douglas.4 He was baptised on 9 June 1546 at Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3 He married Margaret Seton, daughter of George Seton, 5th Lord Seton and Isabel Hamilton, on 1 August 1574 at Niddry Castle, ScotlandG.5 He died before 3 May 1621.6
     He held the office of Commendator of the Abbey of Paisley, Renfrewshire on 5 December 1553.3 From April 1560 to February 1562 he was one of the hostages in England for the Treaty of Berwick.3 He met Queen Mary at Queensferry on her escape from Loch Leven, signed the Hamilton bond, 8, commanded the van at Langside, 13, and landed with the Queen at Workington on her flight to England, 16 May 1568.3 On 19 August 1568 , as a consequence, he was declared a traitor and forfeit.3 In June 1571 he was present at the 'Marian' Parliament in Edinburgh.3 He fought in the attack on Stirling and the murder of the Regent Lennox on 4 September 1571.3 On 23 February 1572/73 he was admitted to the Pacification, and was restored.3 On 10 November 1579 he was again forfeited.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] on 10 December 1585.3 On 10 December 1585 he was again restored, under the Act of Restitution.3 He was created 1st Lord Paisley, co. Renfrew [Scotland] on 29 July 1587.3 From March 1589 to August 1589 he was imprisoned in Edinburgh Castle for actively engaging in plots against Queen Mary and the King of Spain.3 He suffered from a severe religious madness (apparently a hereditary malady of his family) in November 1590.3
