James Douglas, 2nd Duke of Queensberry

     James Douglas, 2nd Duke of Queensberry was born on 18 December 1672.2 He was the son of William Douglas, 1st Duke of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Douglas.3 He married Mary Boyle, daughter of Charles Boyle, 2nd Baron Clifford of Lanesborough and Lady Jane Seymour, on 1 December 1685.3 He died on 6 July 1711 at age 38.2
     He held the office of Provost of Dumfries in 1683.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Lucius O'Brien, 13th Baron of Inchiquin was born on 5 December 1800.1 He was the son of Sir Edward O'Brien, 4th Bt. and Charlotte Smith.2 He married, firstly, Mary FitzGerald, daughter of William FitzGerald, on 21 February 1837.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Finucane, daughter of Major James Finucane and Jane Finucane, on 25 October 1854.1 He died on 22 March 1872 at age 71.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet O'Brien, of Lemeneagh and Dromoland, co. Clare [I., 1686] on 13 March 1837.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baron of Inchiquin [I., 1543] on 11 April 1862, he was recognised by the House of Lords after having succeeded his 9th cousin.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1863 and 1872.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Clare.1

     George Scott, Earl of Dalkeith was born on 25 March 1768.1 He was the son of Henry Scott, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Elizabeth Montagu.1 He died on 29 May 1768, from smallpox, after inoculation.1 He was buried at South Audley Street Chapel, Mayfair, London, EnglandG.1
     He gained the title of Earl of Dalkeith.

She was the daughter of Archibald James Edward Douglas, 1st Baron Douglas of Douglas and Lady Lucy Graham.1 She married Henry James Montagu-Scott, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton, son of Henry Scott, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Elizabeth Montagu, on 22 November 1804.1 She died on 10 January 1859 at age 79.1
     Her married name became Montagu-Scott.

Jane Margaret Douglas.1 She married Cospatrick Alexander Home, 11th Earl of Home, son of Alexander Ramey-Home, 10th Earl of Home and Lady Elizabeth Scott, on 4 December 1832.1 She died on 15 May 1877 at age 71 at The Hirsel, Coldstream, Berwickshire, ScotlandG.1
     Her married name became Douglas-Home. After her marriage, Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Montagu-Scott was styled as Countess of Home on 18 October 1841.

     After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Scott was styled as Countess of Home on 6 November 1798. From 6 November 1798, her married name became Home. From 1 March 1814, her married name became Elizabeth Ramey-Home.
