     Robert St. Lawrence, 2nd Baron Howth was the son of Christopher St. Lawrence, 1st Baron Howth and Anne Plunket.1 He married, firstly, Alice White, daughter of Nicholas White, before 1459.1 He married, secondly, Lady Joan Beaufort, daughter of Edmund Beaufort, 1st Duke of Somerset and Lady Eleanor Beauchamp, in 1478 at England.1 He died in 1486 at London, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Howth [I., c. 1440] circa 1464.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. George in 1472.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor [Ireland] in 1483.1

     Thomas Courtenay, 5th Earl of Devon was born in 1414.1 He was the son of Hugh de Courtenay, 4th Earl of Devon and Anne Talbot.2 He married Lady Margaret Beaufort, daughter of John de Beaufort, 1st Earl of Somerset and Lady Margaret de Holand, after 1421.2 He died on 3 February 1458 at Abingdon Abbey, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Devon [E., 1335] on 16 June 1422.2 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Courtenay [E., 1299] on 16 June 1422.2 He was appointed Knight in 1426.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He fought in the Hundred Years War, in France.2 He held the office of Lord High Steward in 1445, at the Coronation of King Henry VI's wife, Margaret of Anjou.2
