     Captain Hon. Reginald Cathcart was born on 9 November 1870.¹ He was the son of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.² He died on 22 February 1900 at age 29 at Ladysmith, South Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹

     Hon. Archibald Hamilton Cathcart was born on 30 January 1873.¹ He was the son of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.² He died on 3 February 1955 at age 82, unmarried.¹

     Isabel Cathcart was born circa 1855. She was the daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.² She died on 29 November 1856, young.¹

     Lady Cecilia Cathcart was born on 5 December 1857.¹ She was the daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.² She married Captain Edward Temple Rose, son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Temple, on 26 July 1883.¹ She died on 2 October 1932 at age 74.¹
     Her married name became Rose.

     Captain Edward Temple Rose was born on 2 November 1855.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Temple.² He married Lady Cecilia Cathcart, daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton, on 26 July 1883.² He died in 1920.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Hussars.²

     Charlotte Temple was the daughter of Robert Emmett Temple.² She married Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt., son of William Rose and Elizabeth Fyfe, on 3 July 1843.¹ She died on 3 December 1883.¹
     Her married name became Rose.

     Lady Ida Cathcart was born on 26 April 1866.¹ She was the daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.² She married Sir Thomas Leigh Hare, 1st Bt., son of Sir Thomas Hare, 2nd Bt. and Grace Norman, on 24 July 1886.¹ She died on 25 January 1929 at age 62.¹
     From 24 July 1886, her married name became Hare.

     Sir Thomas Leigh Hare, 1st Bt. was born illegitimately on 4 April 1859.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Hare, 2nd Bt. and Grace Norman.¹ He was born in 1867.² He married Lady Ida Cathcart, daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton, on 24 July 1886.³ He died on 22 February 1941 at age 81.
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.⁴ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment.⁴ He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.⁴ He fought in the Egyptian Expedition in 1882.⁴ He fought in the Suakim Expedition in 1885.⁴ From 24 July 1886, his married name became Cathcart. He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1889.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South-West Norfolk between 1892 and 1906.⁴ He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the P.W.O. Norfolk, Royal Field Artillery.⁴ He fought in the Boer War in 1901.⁴ In 1905 Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)³ He was created 1st Baronet Hare, of Stow Hall, Stow Bardolf, Norfolk [U.K.] on 21 December 1905.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.⁴ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk.⁴

     Lady Marion Cathcart was born on 14 June 1867.¹ She was the daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.¹ She died on 5 October 1955 at age 88, unmarried.¹

     Lady Emily Cathcart was born on 27 December 1868.¹ She was the daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.¹ She died on 9 October 1960 at age 91, unmarried.¹
