Edward Wriothesley Curzon Russell was born on 2 June 1901 at Ooctacamund, IndiaG.1,2 He was the son of Arthur Oliver Villiers Russell, 2nd Baron Ampthill and Lady Margaret Lygon.1 He married Baroness Barbara Korff, daughter of Baron Serge Alexandrovich Korff, on 11 October 1941.1 He died on 13 February 1982 at age 80 at Asheville, North Carolina, U.S.A.1,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the assistant editor of the Morning Post between 1932 and 1935.1 He was the managing editor of the Morning Post between 1935 and 1937.1 Wing Commander.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.1
