     Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby was born on 16 September 1867.2 He was the son of General Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Frederick Ponsonby and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Bulteel.1 He married Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard, daughter of Edmund Hegan Kennard and Agnes Hegan, on 17 May 1899.2 He died on 20 October 1935 at age 68.2
     He held the office of Assistant Private Secretary and Equerry to HM Queen Victoria between 1895 and 1901.2 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1897.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1901.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.2 He held the office of Assistant Private Secretary and Equerry to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1910.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1906.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1910.2 He held the office of Assistant Private Secretary and Equerry to HM King George V between 1910 and 1914.2 He held the office of Keeper of the Privy Purse and Extra Equerry to HM King George V in 1914.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1914.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1918.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.2 He held the office of Treasurer and Keeper of the Privy Purse to HM King George V in 1920.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1921.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1926.2 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Windsor Castle in 1928.2 He held the office of Constable of the Round Tower in 1928.2 He held the office of Receiver-General of the Duchy of Lancaster.2 He was created 1st Baron Sysonby, of Wonersh, Surrey [U.K.] on 24 June 1935.2

Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard1

     Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard was the daughter of Edmund Hegan Kennard and Agnes Hegan.2 She married Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby, son of General Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Frederick Ponsonby and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Bulteel, on 17 May 1899.3 She died on 2 June 1955.2
     Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard also went by the nick-name of Ria.3 Her married name became Ponsonby. After her marriage, Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard was styled as Baroness Sysonby on 24 June 1935.

     Agnes Hegan was the daughter of Joseph Hegan.1 She married Edmund Hegan Kennard, son of John Peirse Kennard and Sophia Chapman, in January 1868.2 She died on 22 January 1906.2
     From January 1868, her married name became Kennard.1

     Edmund Hegan Kennard was born on 14 October 1834.2 He was the son of John Peirse Kennard and Sophia Chapman.2 He married Agnes Hegan, daughter of Joseph Hegan, in January 1868.2 He died on 9 July 1912 at age 77.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 8th Hussars.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Beverley between 1866 and 1869.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lymington between 1874 and 1885.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 15th Middlesex Reserve Volunteers.1 He lived at Great Tangley Manor, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.3

     Sallie Whitney Sanford was the daughter of Dr. Leonard Cutler Sanford.1 She married, firstly, George Edward Monkland.2 She married, secondly, Edward Gaspard Ponsonby, 2nd Baron Sysonby, son of Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby and Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard, on 2 October 1936.2 She married, thirdly, Major Edward Robert Francis Compton, son of Lord Alwyne Frederick Compton and Mary Evelyn Violet Vyner, on 15 February 1958.1 She died in 1979.1
     Her married name became Monkland.2 After her marriage, Sallie Whitney Sanford was styled as Baroness Sysonby on 2 October 1936. From 2 October 1936, her married name became Ponsonby. From 15 February 1958, her married name became Compton.

Alexander Haldane Farquharson of Invercauld and Zoë Caroline Musgrave, on 3 July 1918.1 He married, secondly, Mary Elizabeth Dawson, daughter of Sydney Dawson, on 23 October 1952.3 He married, thirdly, Sallie Whitney Sanford, daughter of Dr. Leonard Cutler Sanford, on 15 February 1958.3 He died on 7 February 1977 at age 85.1

     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Sysonby, of Wonersh, Surrey [U.K., 1935] on 21 January 1956.1
