Arthur Hyde Hulton was born on 16 October 1873.2 He was the son of Sir William Wilbraham Blethyn Hulton, 1st Bt. and Sarah Matilda Rothwell.3,2 He married Violet Eugenia Lister-Kaye, daughter of Captain Arthur Lister-Kaye and Eugenia Bower, on 25 April 1899.1 He died on 23 June 1966 at age 92.1

Sir William Wilbraham Blethyn Hulton, 1st Bt. was born on 31 July 1844.2 He was the son of William Ford Hulton and Georgiana Lister-Kaye.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Matilda Rothwell, daughter of Ralph Rothwell, on 24 April 1867.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Lucy Cross, daughter of William Assheton Cross and Katherine Matilda Winn, on 1 May 1879.2 He died on 3 April 1907 at age 62.2
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.2 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was a practising barrister-at-law.2 He held the office of Constable of Lancaster Castle between 1892 and 1907.2 He was created 1st Baronet Hulton, of Hulton Park, Bolton-le-Moors, co.
