     She gained the rank of Lieutenant in the French Army, during the Second World War.¹ She was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹ Her married name became Bennett.

     Commander Harry Selby Bennett is the son of Cecil Harry Andrew Bennett and Katharine Ormond. He married Dolores Lees, daughter of Bernard Percy Turnbull Lees and Mary Radcliffe, on 18 April 1953.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was UK Naval and Military Attaché to Caracas.¹

     Cecil Harry Andrew Bennett was born on 14 March 1898. He was the son of H. G. Dudley Bennett.² He married, firstly, Katharine Ormond, daughter of Lt.-Col. Selby Ormond, in 1925. He married, secondly, Cynthia Ernestine Elton, daughter of Commander Frederick Elton and Ernestine White, on 12 April 1933.¹ He died on 19 September 1967 at age 69.
     He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     Katharine Ormond is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Selby Ormond. She married Cecil Harry Andrew Bennett, son of H. G. Dudley Bennett, in 1925.
     Her married name became Bennett.

     Cynthia Ernestine Elton is the daughter of Commander Frederick Elton and Ernestine White.² She married Cecil Harry Andrew Bennett, son of H. G. Dudley Bennett, on 12 April 1933.¹
     From 12 April 1933, her married name became Bennett.
