Henry William Ward, 5th Viscount Bangor was born on 26 July 1828.1 He was the son of Edward Southwell Ward, 3rd Viscount Bangor and Hon. Harriet Margaret Maxwell.1 He married, firstly, Mary King, daughter of Reverend Henry King and Harriet Lloyd, on 6 December 1854.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Eccles, daughter of Major Hugh Eccles and Harriet Anne St. George, on 8 April 1874.2 He died on 23 February 1911 at age 82 at Castle Ward, County Down, IrelandG.3 He was buried on 27 February 1911 at BallycutterG.3
