Sir Matthew Montgomerie Ochterlony, 4th Bt. was born on 28 February 1880.1 He was the son of Sir David Ferguson Ochterlony, 3rd Bt. and Somerville Grahame.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Mary Laurie Row-Fogo, daughter of David F. L. Row-Fogo, on 6 September 1921.1 He married, secondly, Mary Alfreda Meiklejon, daughter of John Meiklejon, on 28 July 1942.1 He died on 4 October 1946 at age 66, without issue.1
He was appointed Fellow, Royal Incorporation of Architects of Scotland (F.R.I.A.S.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of British Architects (F.R.I.B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Ochterlony, of Ochterlony, co. Forfar [U.K., 1823] on 25 December 1931.1
