Sir Arnold Adrian Jarvis, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 October 1904.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph John Jarvis, 1st Bt. and Bessie Woodfield.1 He married Joan Mary Brightman, daughter of Cecil Frederick Brightman, on 26 September 1935.1 He and Joan Mary Brightman were divorced in 1945.1 He died on 21 January 1965 at age 60.2
Sir Arnold Adrian Jarvis, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Adrian.1 He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1946, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey between 1950 and 1951.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jarvis, of Hascombe, co. Surrey [U.K., 1922] on 3 October 1950.1 He was chairman of J and A Churchill Ltd, and Armstrong Whitworth (Metal Industries) Ltd.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
