Sir James Douglas Ramsay, 11th Bt. was born on 19 April 1878.1 He was the son of Sir James Henry Ramsay, 10th Bt. and Charlotte Fanning Stewart.1 He married Hope Anita Jane MacGregor, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Donald MacGregor, on 21 March 1908.1 He died on 14 March 1959 at age 80.1

Sir Neis Alexander Ramsay, 12th Bt. was born on 4 October 1909.2 He was the son of Sir James Douglas Ramsay, 11th Bt. and Hope Anita Jane MacGregor.1 He married, firstly, Edith Alix Ross Hayes, daughter of Charles Frederick Hayes, on 5 October 1940.2 He and Edith Alix Ross Hayes were divorced in 1950.2 He married, secondly, Rachel Leonore Beatrice Urmston, daughter of Colonel Edward Brabazon Urmston, on 22 December 1952.2 He died on 7 March 1986 at age 76.3
