Sir Joseph Ellsworth Flavelle, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 May 1892.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph Wesley Flavelle, 1st Bt. and Clara Ellsworth.1 He married Muriel I. McEachren, daughter of William Norman McEachren and Isabel F. Jackson, on 23 January 1917.1 He died on 19 December 1977 at age 85.2
