     From 12 January 1882, her married name became Dering.1

     Arthur Robert Dering was born on 7 October 1847.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Cholmeley Dering, 8th Bt. and Hon. Jane Edwardes.1 He married Beatrice Ledgard, daughter of Eyre Ledgard, on 7 September 1880.1 He died on 17 December 1910 at age 63, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the East Kent Militia.1

     Sir Herbert Guy Nevill Dering was born on 13 November 1867 at Florence, Italy.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Nevill Dering, 9th Bt. and Rosa Ann Underwood.1 He married Edith Ann Mountjoy Sanders, daughter of James Sanders, on 27 April 1920.1 He died on 29 May 1933 at age 65.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.1 In 1900 he served during the Siege of Peking.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1908.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Siam in 1915.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He held the office of British High Commissioner to Bulgaria in 1919.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Rumania between 1920 and 1926.1

     From before 1920, her married name became Smith.1 From 27 April 1920, her married name became Dering.1
