     Major Arthur Dalrymple Forbes-Gordon was born on 29 September 1873.² He was the son of Arthur Newton Forbes-Gordon and Christian Dalrymple. He married Dorothy Ione Helen Eden, daughter of Frederick Morton Eden and Fanny Helen Barrett-Lennard, on 1 January 1902.³ He died on 16 May 1931 at age 57.²

     Christian Dorothy Forbes-Gordon was born on 9 May 1910.¹ She is the daughter of Major Arthur Dalrymple Forbes-Gordon and Dorothy Ione Helen Eden.² She married, firstly, Major Frederick George Margaritus Grey, son of C. W. Grey, on 24 July 1935.¹ She and Major Frederick George Margaritus Grey were divorced in 1938.¹ She married, secondly, Major John Popplewell Royle in 1939.² She married, thirdly, Lt.-Cdr.      From 24 July 1935, her married name became Grey. From 1939, her married name became Royle. From 31 August 1950, her married name became Grattan. In 1959 her name was legally changed to Royle.¹ She lived in 2003 at Alfoxton Park Hotel, Halford, Bridgwater, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Major Frederick George Margaritus Grey is the son of C. W. Grey.² He married Christian Dorothy Forbes-Gordon, daughter of Major Arthur Dalrymple Forbes-Gordon and Dorothy Ione Helen Eden, on 24 July 1935.¹ He and Christian Dorothy Forbes-Gordon were divorced in 1938.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Highland Light Infantry.¹

     Major John Popplewell Royle was born on 25 February 1915 at Hailsham, Sussex, England.¹ He married Christian Dorothy Forbes-Gordon, daughter of Major Arthur Dalrymple Forbes-Gordon and Dorothy Ione Helen Eden, in 1939.² He died on 20 September 1944 at age 29 at Arnhem, The Netherlands^G, killed in action.^2,1
