     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Yorkshhire Regiment.1

     Vice-Admiral Hon. Robert Francis Boyle was born on 12 December 1863.1 He was the son of Henry Bentinck Boyle, 5th Earl of Shannon and Lady Blanche Emma Lascelles.1 He married Cerise Champion de Crespigny, daughter of Sir Claude Champion de Crespigny, 4th Bt. and Georgiana Louisa Margaret McKerrell, on 3 August 1899.1 He died on 11 September 1922 at age 58.1
     He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.1 He fought in the West African Campaign in 1894.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Cerise Champion de Crespigny was born on 6 December 1875.1 She was the daughter of Sir Claude Champion de Crespigny, 4th Bt. and Georgiana Louisa Margaret McKerrell.2,1 She married Vice-Admiral Hon. Robert Francis Boyle, son of Henry Bentinck Boyle, 5th Earl of Shannon and Lady Blanche Emma Lascelles, on 3 August 1899.2 She died on 7 April 1951 at age 75.2
     Her married name became Boyle.

     Sir Claude Champion de Crespigny, 4th Bt. was born on 20 April 1847 at Chelsea, London, England.2 He was the son of Sir Claude William Champion de Crespigny, 3rd Bt. and Mary Tyrell.2 He married Georgiana Louisa Margaret McKerrell, daughter of Robert McKerrell and Emily Pauline Staveley, on 19 September 1872.2 He died on 26 June 1935 at age 88.2
     He was educated at Temple Grove School, East Sheen, London, England.2 In 1861 he became bankrupt.2 He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1862 in the Royal Navy, n H.M.S. Warrior.2 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1866 in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Champion de Crespigny, of Champion Lodge, Cumberwell, co. Surrey [U.K., 1805] in 1868. In 1883 he became the first man to cross the North Sea in a balloon, winning the Balloon Society's gold medal.2 He wrote the book Memoirs  of Sir Claude Champion De Crespign, published 1896.2

     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1
