     Reverend Samuel Marsden was born on 24 June 1765 at Farsley, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Marsden.1 He married Eliazbeth Fristan, daughter of Thomas Fristan, on 21 April 1793.1 He died on 12 May 1838 at age 72 at St. Mathew's Parsonage, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1
     He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was senior Church of England chaplain in 1810 at New South Wales, Australia.1
