Sir FitzRoy Hamilton Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, 1st Bt. was born on 5 July 1872.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Robert Hamilton Lloyd-Anstruther and Gertrude Louisa Georgiana FitzRoy.1 He married Hon. Rachel Gough-Calthorpe, daughter of Augustus Cholmondeley Gough-Calthorpe, 6th Baron Calthope and Maud Augusta Louisa Duncombe, on 11 October 1898.2 He died on 29 September 1957 at age 85.2
He was given the name of FitzRoy Hamilton Lloyd-Anstruther at birth.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 On 7 November 1910 his name was legally changed to FitzRoy Hamilton Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe by Royal Licence.2 He was Permanent Staff Officer of the Motor Reserve Staff.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was created 1st Baronet Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, of Elvetham Hall, in the parish of Elvetham, Hampshire [U.K.] on 1 July 1929.2

Clarence Edward Graves, 4th Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend was born on 8 June 1847.1 He was the son of William Thomas Graves, 3rd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend and Louise Adèle Maléne.2 He married Katherine Frederica Murdoch, daughter of Sir Thomas William Clinton Murdoch, on 8 June 1870.1 He died on 29 January 1904 at age 56, without surviving male issue.1
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cornwall.1 He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1870 and 1872 in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend [I., 1794] on 20 March 1870, although he never established his right to the title.2

Hon. Augusta Champagne Graves was the daughter of Thomas North Graves, 2nd Lord Graves, Baron of Gravesend and Lady Mary Paget.1,2 She married Hon. William Towry Law, son of Edward Law, 1st Baron Ellenborough and Anne Towry, on 15 March 1831.2 She died on 16 October 1844.2
