     Major Sir John Francis Hastings Doyle, 5th Bt. was born on 3 January 1912.² He was the son of Colonel Sir Arthur Havelock James Doyle, 4th Bt. and Joyce Ethelreda Howard.² He married Carmen Diana Steel, daughter of Colonel Cyril Nisbet Steel, on 19 June 1947.² He died on 10 February 1987 at age 75.^3,4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.² He fought in the Palestine Campaign in 1938.² He fought in the Second World War.² He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Doyle, of Boscombe, Wiltshire [U.K., 1828] on 19 February 1948.² On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.³

     Carmen Diana Steel is the daughter of Colonel Cyril Nisbet Steel.¹ She married Major Sir John Francis Hastings Doyle, 5th Bt., son of Colonel Sir Arthur Havelock James Doyle, 4th Bt. and Joyce Ethelreda Howard, on 19 June 1947.¹
     From 19 June 1947, her married name became Doyle.

     Colonel Cyril Nisbet Steel gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.¹ He lived at Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire, England.¹

     Sylvia Yolanda Doyle was born on 20 November 1948.¹ She is the daughter of Major Sir John Francis Hastings Doyle, 5th Bt. and Carmen Diana Steel.¹
