     Lt.-Col. Harold Edward William Iremonger was born on 20 September 1882.2 He married Julia St. Mary Shandon Quarry, daughter of Colonel John St. Quarry and Isa Florence Simonds, in 1915 at Farnham, Surrey, England.2 He died on 9 November 1937 at age 55.2
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Marine Artillery.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.2 He held the office of Governor of St. Helena in 1925, acting.2
