Stair Agnew Gillon was born on 8 September 1877.2 He was the son of Andrew Gillon, 10th of Walhouse and Isabella Agnew Hathorn-Stewart.1,2 He married Nina Johnstone-Douglas, daughter of Arthur Henry Johnstone-Douglas and Jane Maitland Hathorn-Stewart, on 10 April 1919.3 He died on 11 August 1954 at age 76.1
He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.2 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1900 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)4 He was a practising Advocate in 1903.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was Solicitor, Inland Revenue for Scotland between 1919 and 1942.2

Andrew Gillon, 10th of Walhouse was born on 22 April 1823.2 He married, thirdly, Isabella Agnew Hathorn-Stewart, daughter of Stair Hathorn-Stewart and Helen Sinclair, on 22 January 1874.2 He died on 17 June 1888 at age 65.2
